Originally introduced in 2004, the Chevrolet Equinox, has become a leader in the compact SUV category.  It had a second-generation release in 2010.  The 2020 model, which is available in four different trims, has new safety features and a redesigned exterior. Specifications

The 2020 Chevrolet Equinox  is a 5-passenger vehicle. It is available in the L, LS, LT, and Premier trims.  The Premier starts at $30,040 MSRP, the LT at $26,750 MSRP, the LS at $25,510 MSRP and the L trim at $23,100 MSRP. The L trim is available only in front-wheel-drive.  The other three trims are obtainable both in front-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive.

The Equinox has a 182-horsepower four-cylinder engine, a 2.4-liter engine with 172-lb of torque and a 6-speed swift automatic transmission with manual shift mode.  The sophisticated engine of the Equinox AWD gets 31 MPG on the highway and 21 Mile per gallon in the city.  It has a pulling capacity of 1,500 pounds.

A 3.6-liter, V-6 engine with a whopping 301-horsepower is available on the LT, and Premier trims.  With the world-class V-6 engine, the Equinox gets 28 MPG on the highway and, 20 miles per gallon in the city, and it has a pulling capacity of 3,500 pounds.  The Equinox provides Eco Mode for maximum fuel efficiency.

The vehicle is 188 inches L x 73 inches W x 66 inches H with a 113 inches’ wheel base.  It is well-fitted with StabiliTrak electronic stability control and four-wheel disc brakes.  It has a 100 cubic-foot passenger area and 32 cubic-foot for cargo, which amplifies to 64 cubic-feet when the second-row seats are folded down.

The Chevrolet Equinox is a great car; however, it does need some updating.  You may want to wait for the third generation Chevrolet Equinox or save money and get a used one.
